Successful people share two important characteristics. The first is they constantly improve themselves through continuing their education. They keep up with improvements and innovations in their field. Many of us achieve this important step by purchasing information products. Some of us go a step further and get a Mentor to help us take our business to the next level.

What separates the majority of us from the truly successful people is the second characteristic: Applying and testing this knowledge. If we don’t apply this new knowledge to our lives and our businesses, then it is just useless information taking up space in your head.

We can’t just “talk the talk” if we want to be successful in life and business. To be truly successful in anything in life, we must also “walk the walk” by applying this knowledge.

The Journey

Successful people and businesses don’t just appear out of thin air. They ‘arrive’ at success by following a path that they have laid out before them. It isn’t a straight path, there are many twists and turns with lots of false paths containing pitfalls and traps along the way. What makes the truly successful different is desire and action.

Taking Action on the desire to be better is the first step to being successful. Getting back up and continuing on when we fall is just as important. This website is dedicated to following the path to success. This journey to success has been followed by hundreds and thousands before us. The path is laid out, and we just have to get off our butts and follow it. Many of the traps and pitfalls have already been mapped. We just have to keep an eye out for the new ones which are being added.

So get up off your butt, suit up, and join us on the journey to internet success.

      Hi Jimmy,

Firstly good luck on your journey.

I was reading a post on Facebook the other week which asked the question- what separates winners and losers?

My first thought was Action, as I was going to write this down I started thinking and coming up with different answers and I have been since.

You see the post asked for a one word answer and after much reflection I honestly think there is no one word answer but a different answer every day.

My point is everyday we face change and need to change with it, one day I needed to get off my bud and do some “action”, the next day I needed to be “consistent” and repeat what I had done the previous day, I had to stop buying and start “creating”, I had “Learned” something then “apply” my new knowledge and the list goes on!

So I reflected on past success and thought I need to set an objective, follow a plan and be ready for change. Simple but easier said than done. this is as follows- objective is to create a product, follow John Blueprint (plan)and deal with change (things that come up) by setting a certain time frame to work on the plan with no distractions.

      Thanks for your post.

      Paul 🙂

Distractions are the hardest thing for me to overcome, Paul. I think one of my biggest problems, at least for today, is the ability to focus on the job at hand.
However, like you said, things change on a daily basis (sometimes even several times in a day, if we let them). A daily task list is extremely helpful in this.
I totally agree with you on the learn and apply. Add a third step though: Teach. It is the process one of my mentors recommends: Learn, Apply, Teach. You don’t have to be the expert, you only need to know more than the people that you are teaching.
Wishing you a great journey to success. Hope to see you around again.

      Hi jimmy,

      Yes teach, a great point!

As a Teacher I really should have mentioned this, teaching is a great for sharing and is a fantastic way of learning!

I learn so much from my students and they also help to stretch and challenge me which drives me forward in that aspect of my life.

So therefore applying this to other aspects of your life and surely that will help bring success 🙂

I also just want to say that I am on a personal challenge to comment on all the blogs on P2S which I have a list of 155 and I want to complete this by 22nd of March 15, so remember that and please feel free to visit my blog and return the comment 🙂

      Best Wishes

Great article. I agree with every bit of information on this. Success isn’t luck, it’s about working hard. Hard work brings results. I like this post, as it’s realistic and motivates me.
